The course is three hours long and all the equipment (ropes/belay devices) is provided. It is recomended that you are capable of climbing at a level of 5.9 on vertical AND overhanging terrain because that is the level that the lead climbs start at. The instructors often add some extra holds to make the climbs used in the lesson a little easier than normal. If you don't have a partner one will be provided for you in the form of an old department store manekin that we keep behind the lead wall. Once you have takent the course you must take a certification test at a future date of your chosing (the cost of the test is included in the course price).
Once you pass the test you are a certified CRG lead climbing rock-jock.

Yes it was. Jody and Katja really teach that course well. They have the skills to carve a solid lead climber out of almost anyone.
